Engineer’s Guide with Signal Conditioners in New Design

More than just galvanic isolation

Engineer’s Guide with Signal Conditioners in new design
Engineer's Guide - Signal Conditioning Catalog
Signal conditioners galvanically isolate inputs and outputs in order to prevent the effects of interference voltage and interference current from spreading. Signal conditioners offer much more than just this isolating function. The most common application for signal conditioners is converting sensor signals, such as thermocouples, resistance thermometers and pulse sequences, into standard signals. This includes additional functions, like linearization and sensor supply as well as sensor and line fault detection. Standard signals are available in the form of a 0/2-10 V or 0/4…20 mA signal.

Many signal conditioners have additional switch outputs in order to report trip value over-ranges. K-System signal conditioners are mounted on the DIN mounting rail. If the Power Rail is used, the wiring needed for the supply voltage and collective error messages is reduced significantly.

Fast access to products

With more than 160 pages, the new Engineer’s Guide - Signal Conditioning catalog contains all the information needed to find the right product for process measurement applications. The technology section includes more than 100 pages of detailed basic information on the principles of signals (digital signals, temperature and standard signals) as well as applications and functional safety.

The "Applications" section provides appropriate device selections for all types of signals. The new signal conditioning catalog features colored navigation and product selection guides. All technical data is on one catalog page, which simplifies signal conditioners product selection. More detailed technical data, setting tips, certificates and CAD data are all available electronically on our website.
