Mobile ADM – A Success Story for Reliance Life Sciences, India
The ADM revealed a signal unbalance (ground fault) and noise on the fieldbus segment. The cause of the noise was determined to be electrical equipment, which was in close proximity to the trunk cable. The cable was rerouted and the noise issue resolved. The unbalance was the result of a wiring error. The fieldbus segment’s positive line was connected to the shield of the cable. While this did not interrupt communications immediately, it could have lead to intermittent or more severe disruptions.
Second, the Commissioning Wizard was run to automatically test and document that optimum installation quality performance for each segment has been achieved. This also provided a baseline report for the customer to retain in their records.
After this successful experience, Reliance Life Sciences decided to implement the stationary ADM as a permanent solution. Using the stationary ADM, they are able to monitor all of the fieldbus segments in real time and alert plant personnel about small signal quality changes before they disrupt the process. This allowed a transition from a reactive maintenance program to a proactive maintenance program. The plant has been operating for over a year and the customer is very satisfied with the performance of both the ADM and the Pepperl+Fuchs power supplies used on the project.

Dear Sachin,
The ADM does help in locating one's position in the FF physical layer world.
Its like a GPS , which helps in locating where you are and also guides you with the directions to reach to your destinations.
