Ethernet – Flexible in Every Way: Intrinsically Safe with the Ethernet Isolator

Ethernet is intrinsically safe with the Ethernet Isolator. In addition to this basic requirement for premium hazardous area protection the Ethernet Isolator offers galvanic isolation. Pepperl+Fuchs, the experts in network topologies and explosion protection enable you to install and disconnect your high-speed devices live.

Surprisingly simple, the Ethernet Isolator gives you the safety for your application needed for flexible installations in the hazardous area Zone 1. The Ethernet cable may even run through Zone 0 – total flexibility for any application. Galvanic isolation is included and eliminates the need for equipotential bonding – a real cost saver in wide-ranging production areas. This point-to-point router is plug and play. Thus Ethernet can be used for "flexible" connections and "removable" applications such as analytic equipment or instruments with high data volume.
