VDM70 – Time-of-Flight

An all-round distance measuring device

For applications related to distance measuring Pepperl+Fuchs relies on impulse time measurements – Time-of-Flight – and introduces the new product VDM70 in this field.

The compact VDM70 works at a distance of up to 10 m reflecting diffusely; using a reflector distances of up to 250 m can be achieved.

It offers the most varied application options - positioning, measuring, detection.

The smallest objects, most varied materials and deep black to glossy surfaces are reliably detected. With its easy to operate keypad and the very visible LCD display the VDM70 is also easy to set up and control.

Another highlight is the red pilot laser which can be added to the system and permits exact alignment by being identical in its optical axis to the IR measuring laser.

By combining all these highlights, a completely new allround sensor has been created.
