Get in touch with 50 years of experience
See the latest in sensor technology at the Hanover Fair

At this year's Hanover Fair (April 21st to 25th), Pepperl+Fuchs will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the proximity switch. Exactly half a century ago, we invented the first inductive sensor which has developed into a key technology of modern factory automation.

We invite you to be our guest for this extraordinary event.

    AS-Interface Installation Guidelines
    Tips for easy startup

For an easy AS-Interface startup, Pepperl+Fuchs has developed an installation recommendation for the AS-Interface in collaboration with the AS-International Association.

    ALL FOR ONE FOR ALL
Inductive sensor with reduction factor 1 ... a sensor for all applications?

Sensors with “reduction factor 1” detect metallic objects of any material (e.g. iron, steel, copper, aluminum) with the same switching distance. A special coating on the housing permits the use of these sensors in welding areas.

Easy programming of AS-Interface slave devices
    AS-Interface Handheld Addressing Device V3.0 from Pepperl+Fuchs

Pepperl+Fuchs now offers you a revised universal addressing device with extended functionality, suitable for all AS-Interface slave devices available on the market.

For addressing from your desk simply plug the modules or sensors directly into the patented connection adapter. If your modules are already integrated into the plant, an addressing jack cable provides an easy connection.

    Application Reports

    Safe positioning using the PMI360D

A set-down packer places beer crates from conveyor belt A onto conveyor belt B. The transfer of the crates requires a position detection from 0° to 360°, with conveyor belt A representing the 0° position (4 mA) and conveyor belt B the 360° target position (20 mA).

In this case an analog output is required. Rotary encoders proved to be an ineffective solution.
