    Wind Power Plants Use
M12 Inductive Sensor in Wind Turbines

The M12 cylindrical inductive sensor is used in a wind turbine to control the nacelle movement. The rotor always faces the wind so the wind turbine will generate as much electricity as possible. The yaw motor turns the nacelle so that the rotor faces the wind. Each motor rotation turns the nacelle by a specified number of degrees. The M12 inductive sensor monitors the correct rotation and functioning of the turbine. In strong winds very high forces come into play and a malfunction of the nacelle control can result in high costs and downtimes.
