Inductive positioning system F90 monitors clamping cylinder in CNC machine
Hydraulic clamping cylinders in lathes are responsible for both the travel of clamping chuck and the clamping pressure on work pieces. In heavy duty lathes with high rotary speeds changes in the clamping cylinder must be detected down to the micrometer range. This alone can cause the immediate shut down of the machine spindle and disengagement of the work piece if the pressure drops. The travel of the rotating clamping cylinders is monitored by the high precision, inductive positioning system F90. back
