Monitoring the paper transport in printing presses using rotary encoders
Printing presses transport paper at high speeds through a number of inking stations. For excellent printing results, the drums transporting the paper must run synchronously. Precise monitoring of the rotation speed of each individual drum is critical. All data are transferred to the control system, which continuously adjusts die rotation speed in order to achieve a synchronous operation. back
