 ISA and Pepperl+Fuchs Serve the Global CommunityGreat success for the first explosion protection training in Israel  The Israeli branch of ISA, together with the International Instrumentation Society (ISA) mission, is very active among the process automation professionals in Israel, especially in organizing events that allow all the members to improve their knowledge. The collaboration between the Israeli branch of ISA and Pepperl+Fuchs was very well received. Both immediately recognized the opportunity to help automation professionals improve their know-how about explosion protection and the ATEX directive, and a two-day training and qualification session was scheduled. The event took place in November 2007 in Tel Aviv. Thanks to the curriculum of Mr. Patrick Lerévérend, it was a great success. Mr. Lerévérend has been a P+F employee since 1988 and is oversees customer support for hazardous areas and functional safety aspects. Due to the success of the event and the number of applicants who are interested in attending the class, a second meeting took place in February 2008; further trainings are planned in the run of this year.
