Simple field bus planning – just two mouse clicks with the Instrument libraries of the Segment Checker
We simplify your processes. With the new and extended field device library for the Segment Checker we have now provided you with a larger selection of field bus instruments within your process planning. So you can ensure, that the field bus segments, which you plan inclusive of cable lengths, actually function in practice – and this before you place orders and wiring takes place in the field.
New Instrument libraries
for Segment Checker
With immediate effect, the latest version of the Segment Checker is available for you as download. This contains the latest FieldConnex products and – even more importantly – the approved field device libraries from our control system partners and device manufacturers.
So you can plan and implement almost all applications. In this process we have updated the existing libraries and inserted others, such as those from ABB, Endress+Hauser and Invensys.
Segment Checker is an open software-based tool, which supports central and distributed field bus architectures for FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 and PROFIBUS PA. It facilitates simple planning and validation of field bus segments and enables the construction, editing and storage of many field bus projects. Segment Checker optimizes the planning and engineering process through the automatic checking of voltage drops and the loading conditions of the respective field bus segments and in this way conducts a plausibility check of the network structure.
In its newest version the Segment Checker offers an extended scope of functions, so that in addition the assignment of tags for the field bus cable is possible. Through the direct linking to all the data sheets of the FieldConnex products, current detailed technical information is always available.
Segment Checker once again underlines our involvement in intentionally providing simplicity in the context of the field bus. We are proud to be a leading global partner in field bus applications and explosion protection and to therefore enjoy the confidence of all the leading control system and field device manufacturers.
