Greater Insight with the HART Loop Converter
Digital to analog, the new HART Loop Converter is shaping the way the process industry extracts the HART variables.
The HART Loop Converter
The HART Loop Converter (HLC) is a transmitter/supply device and HART monitor in one. The HLC communicates with the connected transmitter, via the HART protocol, and converts the received data into analog current signals. With three current outputs, up to three HART variables can be assigned to an analog value. Optionally, up to four limit-value-relays are available. Alternatively, parallel connection can be made to the 4 … 20 mA field circuit without influencing the Ex parameters. As another great feature, a HART variable can be assigned to a number of analog outputs (signal splitting). The parameter assignment of the HLC is convenient via touch keys and a graphics display.
