Pressurized Enclosures Made Easy: The New Series 6000

A pressurized enclosure enables standard, general-purpose devices to be operated in hazardous areas. The Series 6000 can be used in ATEX and UL applications. It’s designed to remove and prevent the accumulation of flammable gas, vapors, or dust. Parameters are easily set using a menu-driven user interface.

Up to now, many different application requirements had to be considered when constructing a pressurized system. The parameters
  • ATEX or UL
  • Gas, dust or the combination of the two
  • Different housing volumes

often meant that the construction of the pressurized system would be different for similar applications. Different purge control systems had to be used for the pressurized enclosure.

Simple product selection

Different purge control systems for different applications are no longer required. With the new Series 6000 only one device is required for all these different parameters, and the approval includes ATEX, UL, CSA, dust and gas. Different enclosure volumes are set using the operator-friendly, menu-driven user interface, which is password-protected.

Simple input

Five input buttons are linked to a large user interface with two lines, each having 20 characters. The interface is intrinsically safe and is easily accessible. The system can be monitored via the status display. Inputs can be activated during operation (password protection).

Simple parameter assignment

Four intrinsically safe inputs are provided. The set functions have a direct effect on the control system and can be applied to two outputs. The outputs can provide different alarm signals as preventive messages, e.g. pressure drop in the pressurized enclosure.
