For mounting the interface modules of the remote I/O FB system, Pepperl+Fuchs offers backplanes for use in Zone 1 explosion-hazardous areas. Different sizes are available as base or extension backplanes. They carry any combination of single-width and dual-width remote I/O modules, giving users high flexibility when configuring individual remote I/O solutions.
The power supply and fieldbus connection is established on the left side. Due to a modular design concept, a base backplane can be combined with an extension backplane, which allows building remote I/O field stations of precisely the right size.
The backplanes are always supplied in conjunction with FB field stations as a ready-certified solution for Zone 1.
