De tablets zijn verkrijgbaar met krachtige Android- of Windows-besturingssystemen en zorgen voor een mobiele gegevensoverdracht in de olie- en gasindustrie, petrochemie, chemie, farmaceutica en tal van andere industrieën. De robuuste tabletoplossingen werden ontworpen voor zware industriële toepassingen en explosiegevaarlijke omgevingen geclassificeerd als Zone 1/21, Div. 1. Ze ondersteunen mobiele werknemers (mobile workers) bij hun dagelijkse bezigheden zoals checks, inspecties, onderhoudsmaatregelen, voorraadtellingen en het traceren van materiaal. Om te voldoen aan de hoge eisen van deze toepassingen en om het veilig gebruik ervan te garanderen, worden deze apparaten onderworpen aan talrijke testen.

De Tab-Ex® 04 Pro D2 breidt de Tab-Ex Pro-serie uit als 's werelds eerste en enige 5G- en 10-inch Android Tablet. De robuuste, uiterst veilige tablet is gebaseerd op Samsungs ultramoderne Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro en heeft een dun en licht ontwerp. Het 10-inch-scherm is ideaal voor veeleisende IIoT-toepassingen. De Samsung DeX-functie maakt van de compacte tablet een volwaardige desktopcomputer. (DZ2-versie binnenkort beschikbaar)

The slim Windows-based devices in the Tab-IND series are available with an 8-inch and 10-inch display and offer numerous customization options as well as an extensive range of accessories. The rugged tablet series in accordance with MIL-STD-810H is made for use in the industry.
Tested to Ensure Safe Operation
- Thermal Resistance Test: Over a period of four weeks, the devices are exposed to extreme heat and humidity and a day of extreme cold in an environmental test chamber.
- Impact Tests: Test weights are dropped onto the devices several times from predefined heights to ensure the durability of the housings and (touch screen) displays.
- Drop Tests: Devices are dropped from a height of 1 m onto a concrete floor to test ruggedness.
- Overpressure and Flame Propagation Test: The units are then subjected to hydrostatic pressure tests to verify the strength and integrity of the housing. An internal explosion with test gases is then triggered to ensure that the flames do not spread from the inside to the outside.
- Protection Against Foreign Matter Ingress: Following the tests described above, the devices are tested in accordance with IP standards 64-68 for resistance to the penetration of water and dust.
De Tab-Ex® 02 (8 inch/20,3 cm) en Tab-Ex® Pro (10 inch/25,6 cm) tablets zijn voorzien van innovatieve features, zoals augmented reality, die de implementatie van Industrie 4.0/IIoT-toepassingen vereenvoudigen.
