| Hardware requirements | PACTware 3.0 requires a minimum of 100 MBytes hard drive memory and 50 MBytes main memory. A computer with a Pentium III 400 MHz processor or better is recommended, XGA graphics and a Microsoft-compatible mouse or equivalent pointing device. | |
| Software requirements | PACTware 3.0 runs in operating systems Windows NT 4.0 SP6, Windows 2000 SP4 and Windows XP, XP SP1 and XP SP2. For printing and online help you require MS Internet-Explorer 4.0 or higher. Note also the hardware prerequisites for the device drivers. Windows 95, 98 and ME are not supported by PACTware. |

| Licensing | The Pepperl+Fuchs DTM collections can be downloaded separately or altogether in a BASIC version without the functions printing and storage. The BASIC version can also be obtained on CD-ROM from Pepperl+Fuchs. The release of the functions printing and storage requires a licence number. The licences with the functionality quoted in the table can be ordered at Pepperl+Fuchs. |

Function
PACTware™ is a manufacturer- and fieldbus-independent software configuration tool with FDT (Field Device Tool) interface.
Based on FDT technology, this software allows DTMs (Device Type Managers) to be installed for commissioning, configuring, and parameter assignment independent of the process control system.
Communication DTMs are available for K-, E-, and H-Systems, HART Interface Solutions, level control, corrosion, Remote I/O, and fieldbus applications.
