Whether for control of proportional valves, positioners, actuators, local display units or I/P converters—analog outputs from Pepperl+Fuchs FB system remote I/O solution are a fixture in process automation applications.
For precise monitoring of analog values like control pressure or flow rate in Zone 1 explosion-hazardous areas, Pepperl+Fuchs offers analog remote I/O output modules with terminals in type of protection Ex ia or Ex e.
The FB system remote I/O analog outputs are available in the following versions:
The analog output modules support lead breakage detection and short circuit detection. Galvanic isolation separates the modules’ outputs from bus and power. The modules are hot-swappable, which allows quick and easy module replacement without time-consuming system shutdowns.
Many of these modules also offer HART communication features, enabling you to establish predictive maintenance in your applications. For instance, the number of vent strokes can be tracked and accessed via HART protocol in order to determine the next maintenance date. This helps to prevent unnecessary downtime and reduces service costs.
