This isolated barrier is used for intrinsic safety applications.
The device converts RTD input signals or thermocouple input signals in the hazardous area to 0/4 mA ... 20mA signals in the safe area.
For temperature measurements with thermocouples the cold junction module E-CJC is used to enable cold junction compensation.
If required the device can be used as a dual output single channel unit, using channel 1 input.
The cold-junction temperature is measured by channel 1, so if only one channel is to be used with a thermocouple, it must be channel 1.
A fault is indicated by LEDs acc. to NAMUR NE44 and by user-configured fault indication outputs.
The device is easily configured by the use of the PACTware configuration software.
