Data Matrix Positioning System PCV [Animation]

The Data Matrix Positioning System PCV uses a self-adhesive data matrix code band which is scanned by a read head with integrated camera. The data matrix code as information carrier offers a high degree of data density on a small surface area and many advantages in the application:

• Extremely narrow code band with several codes
• Smallest curve radii possible
• Implementation of inclines and declines
• Partially destroyed code band legible
• Code band can be obscured up to 20 mm

The code band is available to a length of 10,000 meters. Several code lines on the band allow the additional positioning in Y-direction. For generating control signals a band strip - the Event Marker - can be affixed on the band.
