Pepperl+Fuchs adds newly developed 8-channel digital input modules to the already comprehensive portfolio of extremely compact LB Remote I/O modules. Depending on the specific signal mix, you can save up to 40% space with the installation of a complete Remote I/O system which includes bus couplers and power supplies.
This means a higher flexibility during the planning of applications with Remote I/O systems. The most compact Ex i Remote I/O solution on the process automation market enables smaller systems or the usage of twice as many I/O modules on the same space.
This latest development by Pepperl+Fuchs is based upon a new electronic design. The housings of the digital high density input modules are only half as wide as the housings of the previous version. Another important factor in the space saving approach is the compact design and innovative arrangement of the two clamps. These are for the first time placed one above another and front-mounted to the housing with 8 contacts per clamp.
An additional component of the redesigned housings is the integration of status LEDs for each of the 8 available channels. These status LEDs allow quick diagnostics and speed up commissioning and maintenance.
