How Does the WILSEN.system Work?

A Ready-to-Use IoT System


The WILSEN.system is based on four building blocks:

1.  Special IoT sensors, like the WILSEN.sonic.level, that are optimized for battery operation.

2. Connectivity means a securely protected radio connection between sensors and WILSEN.service.

3. WILSEN.service is an online device management service. This service provided by the IoT specialists from our subsidiary Neoception includes data integrity and data routing as well as device management tasks like administration, permissions management, and sensor configuration. If needed, device operators can use a mobile app to securely log into a sensor via the WILSEN.service.

4. Third party systems/platforms process and interpret the telemetry sensor data submitted from WILSEN.service. This can be your ERP, CRM, LMS, or a cloud-based business solution like CUMULOCITY IoT. With its modular design, WILSEN.service interfaces with any third party system and can be easily integrated into existing business processes.

The IoT Sensor—WILSEN.sonic.level

WILSEN.sonic.level Ultrasonic Sensor

WILSEN.sonic.level is a wireless sensor with integrated ultrasonic module for fill level detection. It is available for wireless GSM (2G) and LoRaWAN communication and has a battery life of up to five years. A built-in GPS chip allows precise device tracking. Status information about things like temperature and battery life are also transmitted.

What's more, WILSEN.sonic.level sensors feature the ruggedness that is characteristic of industrial sensors from Pepperl+Fuchs. With an IP66/67 rating and a PTFE protective film that prevents contaminants from adhering to the transducer, the sensors can be readily mounted in tough ambient conditions.

Built-in temperature compensation enables a wide temperature range of -25 °C to +70 °C and equips these sensors to gather reliable fill level data, both outdoors and in harsh environments. Adjustable beam patterns and a sensing range of up to 4 m give you the flexibility to adapt to space constraints.
