AS-Interface Practical Skills & Knowledge

AS-Interface: a worldwide Standard

A hands-on course guiding you through connecting and configuring your own AS-Interface network.

Who should attend?

Dealing with practical real-world situations and common pitfalls this course is ideal for design and maintenance engineers new to AS-i and also engineers with basic exposure to AS-i but wanting to get a deeper understanding.

The course is conducted at our centrally located office near Manchester.

Topics include:

  • Principles of networks & System Components
  • Diagnostics available on devices, ASi communication principles, Power supplies and principles, ASi versions & pitfalls & Addressing devices
  • Using the addressing tool for testing & fault finding
  • Network layout & limitations & Connecting devices
  • Connecting ASi masters & gateways
  • Interference & Diagnostics from Master / Gateway
  • Automatic addressing
  • Duplicate addresses
  • Diagnosing faults

Course Schedule and Fees

We scheduled two training dates at our head office each year, although we do offer in-house training courses which are scheduled to suit your needs.

Location:       Pepperl+Fuchs GB Ltd, 77 Ripponden Road, Oldham, OL1 4EL

The cost of attending our one-day course in Oldham is £150.00, which includes the use of materials and a light lunch.

Unless otherwise stated the course will begin at 09:30 am and adjourn at 15:30 pm.

Attendees will receive a Certificate for Professional Development upon completion of a course.

Pepperl+Fuchs reserves the right to cancel any seminar that has less than 6 individuals enrolled.

Helen Metcalfe

As our in-house AS-I Specialist, Helen has worked extensively on applications where AS-I technologies have been a key solution.  As well as leading you through the training on the day Helen provides follow-up technical advice as part of our technical support team, offering telephone and email support free-of-charge.
