Analog Output

Please note that due to site maintenance, not all functionalities of the Pepperl+Fuchs website will be available. Thank you for your understanding.

Whether for control of proportional valves, positioners, actuators, local display units or I/P converters—analog outputs from Pepperl+Fuchs remote I/O LB system are a fixture in process automation applications.

For precise monitoring of analog values like control pressure or flow rate in Zone 2, Class I/Div. 2 explosion-hazardous areas, Pepperl+Fuchs offers analog remote I/O output modules with terminals in type of protection Ex i.

The remote I/O LB system analog outputs are available in the following versions:

  • 1-channel versions address the needs of users who value system granularity and easy commissioning.
  • 4-channel versions ensure the highest possible utilization of backplanes for module connection and enable compact remote I/O solutions with large channel numbers.

The analog output modules support lead breakage detection and short circuit detection. Galvanic isolation separates the modules' outputs from bus and power. The modules are hot-swappable, which allows quick and easy module replacement without time-consuming system shutdowns.

Many of these modules also offer HART communication features, enabling you to establish predictive maintenance in your applications. For instance, the number of vent strokes can be tracked and accessed via HART protocol to determine the next maintenance date. This helps prevent unnecessary downtime and reduces service costs.

The new LB/FB PROFINET gateways from Pepperl+Fuchs open the door for IIoT 4.0 applications in process industries.
