Handling of Product Change and Discontinuation (PCN)

Most Pepperl+Fuchs products have special approvals that prescribe components of a certain specification. These component specifications are binding and lead to a termination of the approval at Pepperl+Fuchs in case of component changes. The supplier is therefore obligated to notify Pepperl+Fuchs at the earliest possible time, but at least six months before the planned change.

The letter of discontinuance must contain the following information:

  • Last date of orders
  • Last date of delivery
  • Possible alternatives with data sheets
