Termination of All Our Business Activities in Russia

(Last updated: October 2023) Since the start of the war in Ukraine, a whole series of European sanctions and bans on products and services have been imposed on imports and exports to and from Russia. Pepperl+Fuchs has always tried to implement these bans and sanctions in a timely manner, so that at the beginning of 2023 we finally had to conclude that it no longer made sense to continue our business in Russia, taking into account all the reasons to be considered. We understand and support the position of Germany and our allies, but regret this step, especially with regard to the many long-time, loyal employees in our Russian organizations.

We had already completely stopped our new business in Russia when the sanctions were introduced, but were forced to fulfill older delivery obligations for which we had usually already received advance payments and which were not subject to sanctions or export bans. Following the completion of these delivery obligations, we completely discontinued our business activities in Russia, reduced the workforce in our two Russian companies in St. Petersburg and Moscow, and initiated the liquidation process for the legal entities that are no longer operational.

In addition, in order to prevent illegal "gray" import of our products to Russia, e.g. via countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, we have also removed all legacy EAC certificates, which are also valid for Russia, from our website since the end of last year and have started to remove these Russian certification marks from our products. We also no longer issue certificates of conformity for Russian approvals for our products.
