VISUEX is a panel PC for use in hazardous areas (categories II 2G (Zone 1, 2) and II 2D (Zone 21, 22)). It features an integrated PC, a touchscreen and an Ethernet network connection. It is designed for challenging control and visualization tasks in the chemical, pharmaceutical and petrochemical industries.

PCEX412—the panel PC for hazardous areas

The PCEX412 panel PC belonging to the VISUEX product family is designed for use in hazardous areas in accordance with categories II 2G (Zones 1+2) and II 2D (Zone 21+22).

Due to its open PC platform, it is ideally suited as a machine panel, a client for visualization tasks, a soft PLC with lower-level remote I/Os, or a browser based terminal in an Internet/ Intranet application.

The panel PC is equipped with a powerful, fanless 733 MHz processor, 256 MB RAM and 20 GB hard disk. It runs under Windows XP, Windows 2000 or LINUX, and can also be supplied as a thin client variant without a hard disk.

The TFT display has a diagonal of 12" and a resolution of 1024x768 pixels. Data can be entered using the touch screen, with left and right mouse buttons, four freely assignable special keys, shift keys and a conveniently sized, optionally activated popup keyboard for maximum user-friendliness.

Ethernet and RS485/ TTY interfaces are provided for connecting to the data network/ PLC as well as Exi interfaces for a barcode reader, expansion keyboard etc. The panel PC case is remarkably compact and complies with the IP 65 degree of protection on the front. The PC requires 24 V DC supply voltage.
